New Pictures

Ok, I have new pictures of the twins. On the 21st Toby's family came down to celebrate Christmas. Toby's brother, Roby in July became a Daddy to an adorable baby girl, Katherine. We had to take a picture of the youngest Boysen grand babies together.

On Friday the 19th Danielle and TJ had their first appointment with Dr. Jansen. It was very cold out that day, so they got completely bundled up to go to see the Dr. They looked so cute.

This just shows how different in size the two of them are.

Update

Just wanted to let everyone know that things are going good with the twins. We had a nice Christmas at home just the 5 of us. I don't have a lot of new pictures.

Twins

Sorry that it has taken me a week+ to post that the twins are here! The twins were born on Monday the 24th at just after 10am. Toby Todd Jr. "TJ" weighed 4lbs. 11oz. and Danielle Marie weighed 3lbs. 3.8oz. They are both doing very well, no oxygen. They are both just needing to grow and eat from the bottles. Danni needs to be at least 4lbs. before she can go home. My Mom is here this week to help me. Twila is back in Holdrege for the week with my in-laws. We are at the hospital for most of the day every day.

Updates

Again no pictures- But wanted to make sure that everyone knows what is up with the Boysen's. Monday I had a regularly scheduled appointment for an ultrasound. To make a very, very long story short I was admitted to the hospital and monitored for 24 hours to see if the twins would be delivered by c-section. The twins are growing but not at the rate the Dr's would like to see. On Tuesday the results of the tests looked good and I was sent home on bed rest. Twila as of Monday night/ Tuesday morning is with her Grandma Boysen. She is staying with them in Holdredge. With a lot of help from my Mom and Toby's sister, Z. Carol is working in time to go in to work so that she does not have to take vactaion. I go in to have Non stress tests done twice a week and those will determine where we go from here. The first one is today at 3pm.

Pumpkins

This past weekend we made Jack-o-Lanterns. We had a really fun time. Twila got in and tried to help Mommy clean out the insides of the pumpkins. She totally does not mind getting dirty.

New happenings

I don't have any pictures, but wanted to let all of you who don't already know about our happenings from Thursday and Friday. On Thursday morning at about 3:15am, I woke up because Twila was coughing. I used the restroom while deciding if she needed cough medicine. Her coughing stopped, but I had a sharp pain in my back. I went back to bed and could not get comfortable, my back was in so much pain. At 4am I woke up Toby and told him that I had to call the Dr's on call. I was instructed to go in and get checked out to make sure that everything was ok. Very, Very long story short, I was admitted to Bergan Mercy Hospital for a possible kidney infection and kidney stones. They wanted to give me IV antibotics and fuilds and also make sure that the infection did not get worse. Toby Thursday morning took Twila to preschool and one of the Mom's from Twila's playgroup wanted to know where I was, at that time we did not know that I would be admitted, Toby told her and she offered to help us out and watch Twila for the day, overnight if needed. Well, another long story short Twila had a sleep over at Margaret and Emily's house on Thursday night and stayed with them until Toby was done with work on Friday. God is so good. I was able to not have to worry about her, though I did call and check on her a couple of times. I am feeling much better now I am on antibotics and am pushing fluids. The twins are also just fine and currently staying were they are.

Twila's new glasses

As some of you may know Twila had her eyes tested a couple of weeks ago. It turns out that her eye sight has a significant prescription. So on Wednesday she got her new glasses.

Ultra sound pictures

Here are some pictures of the babies.

Baby A is the boy. This is a picture of his fingers and I think his feet.

Baby B is the girl and this is a picture of her feet.

This is a picture of her fingers.

This is a picture of her face looking down at her. It is a little hard to see, she was under my belly button and that distorts the image slightly.

Sunday mornings storms

As most of you know Sunday morning Omaha, specifically Millard was hit by a small tornado. We do live in Millard, and are about a mile to a mile and a half away from where the tornado hit. We are just fine. Very fortunate some of the houses in our neighborhood had lots of tree damage. We just had tree limbs down and that sort of thing. We did lose our power for about 14 hours, from 2:30am until about 4pm on Sunday. A BIG thank you to my cousin Luke, he lives about 10 blocks away from us on the other side of Q street and still had power. He let us go over to his place for a while and hang out and I got a shower! Here are several pictures that I took from our yard.

This large tree limb was on our back deck. Toby moved it down so that he could go check out the rest of the yard.

Latest news

Sorry, I don't have any pictures for this post. I tried to take a picture, but it would not turn out. For some reason the light seemed to bounce off of the EPT test and you really can't see what it is. Our BIG news: We are pregnant! As of right now it looks like some where around the First of the year for a due date. Should know more in a few weeks.

Weekend project

This weekend we finally got our garden in. It was an adventure. We found several things that we did not expect. We found several thick roots that were very hard to get out of the ground. We also found at least two cable type cords. We have planted six tomato plants and some cucumbers. We will see how the garden grows this first year.
